We’re so excited to begin this blog!
The purpose of this blog is to provide you with helpful resources that are especially practical for you as a girl in The Pivot. A few days a week we’ll give you a link or an excerpt from another blog, article, or book that pertains to your particular season of life as a woman. We’ll be hearing from some wonderful men and women like Carolyn Mahaney and her daughters, Carolyn McCulley, Elisabeth Elliot, Josh Harris, John Piper, and many others. Our hope is that it encourages and stirs you toward “love and good works” (Hebrews 10:24) each time you read.
“Get wisdom; get insight…Prize her highly, and she will exalt you; she will honor you if you embrace her. She will place on your head a graceful garland; she will bestow on you a beautiful crown.” Proverbs 4:5,8-9
There are many means God has provided for us to do this, primarily the Word of God and our local church. While this blog is not meant to be a primary means of you getting wisdom, it can be an arrow for you that points you to some material that we believe will bring wonderful wisdom and insight. And you have this promise from Proverbs that as you get wisdom and insight, it will be for your good and for God’s glory. So come back, check often, and be encouraged together to love the Savior more with your life! And please leave comments to share your responses and thoughts with each other.
