There is no doubt about it, solid Christian books have been a huge factor in my own personal growth and passion for Christ. But I did NOT always enjoy reading them. Up to high school and even through the first couple of years of college I absolutely hated reading. The only Bible books I remember reading on occasion were Psalms, because the chapters were short and pretty understandable, and Revelation, because of the cool battle scenes and freaky-looking creatures. And as for theology books or books on spiritual growth, those kinds of things would fall even well beneath my gross inconsistency in reading through Psalms and Revelation!
So … here are 20 good reasons to read good Christian books.
